I Was a Teenage Werewolf: Spooky Stories
Vampires don’t play volleyball—or do they? In this workshop, we’ll write about a day in the life of a fairy, give advice to ghouls, and wonder what Mothman wears to prom. Students will explore what it means to be a fish-out-of-water—or a mermaid off to college! Together we’ll learn about sensory details, world-building, and what makes ordinary life a little more magical.
About Write Away Workshops
We know that young authors have the power and imagination to go beyond the five-paragraph essay. In Write Away Workshops, students explore a multitude of genres and subjects, and develop their voices as writers. Groups write freely and participate in imaginative writing activities and lessons. Young writers leave each workshop with a piece to be proud of, as well as a newfound understanding of the topic and new friends.
