Dungeons & Dragons & Writers (grades 5-9)

Dungeons & Dragons & Writers
A group of eager D&D students

Overview

Dungeons & Dragons, the epic fantasy role-playing game where players craft characters to take on magical quests that can change with the roll of the dice, comes to 826NYC! Adventurous authors in grades 5–9 play out an entirely original tale week by week, and chronicle their fantastical deeds in character point-of-view journals, histories, and scene writing. And, of course, sometimes the greatest gift is the friends we make — and make up — along the way.

This year, adventurers in the Sunday class (grades 5-8) will learn the mechanics of D20 game play with a game using the Everyday Heroes-style campaign, set in an alternate reality New York City. Meanwhile, the heroes of the Saturday class (grades 6-9) will play a science fiction and outer space-inspired campaign.
