The Loud Album: Music of YOUR Life!
From Bad Bunny to Olivia Rodrigo, the best musical artists know how to make their stories into songs. In this workshop, students will write their own emotional ballad, lyrical rap, or rockin’ country song for the ages. By the end, students will create original songs that could be at the top of anyone’s playlist, and even story concepts for music videos inspired by their favorite songs.
In this workshop, students will work on poetry techniques including rhyme and meter, literary devices like similes and metaphors, and conveying characters’ emotions in writing.
About Write Away Workshops
We know that young authors have the power and imagination to go beyond the five-paragraph essay. In Write Away Workshops, students explore a multitude of genres and subjects, and develop their voices as writers. Groups write freely and participate in imaginative writing activities and lessons. Young writers leave each workshop with a piece to be proud of, as well as a newfound understanding of the topic and new friends.
