We’re excited to introduce you to our November Author of the Month, Rafael C.!
826NYC: What is your favorite thing you’ve written recently? Tell us a bit about it!
My favorite piece that I recently created is Echenonia (Ee-kuh-no-nee-ah). It’s a story of what it would be like to be an alien, or “Xenolichen” (Zee-no-lie-ken), on the planet Echenonia.
826NYC: What are three words you would use to describe 826NYC?
Three words I would use to describe 826NYC are fun, friendships, and cheerful. Before 826NYC, I really didn’t like writing but when I’m in 826NYC it feels like I’m not doing work.
826NYC: What advice would you give someone writing for the first time?
Advice that I would give someone who just started writing is to be creative. One way you can come up with creative ideas is by closing your eyes, swirling your head around. Then opening your eyes and writing a story about whatever you end up looking at.
Read all about the Echenonia, and find opportunities for you to swirl your head around and write with 826NYC here!
