Bring Your Stories to Work Day: Almost Real Stories
Let’s gather ‘round the water fountain, and swap some absolutely real stories…that just might have a twist that’s too good (or bad!) to be true. Students will draw on their own experiences, crafting reflections and mini-memoirs, before adding the kind of creative flourishes that make all the best stories worth repeating.
About Write Away Workshops
We know that young authors have the power and imagination to go beyond the five-paragraph essay. In Write Away Workshops, students explore a multitude of genres and subjects, and develop their voices as writers. Groups write freely and participate in imaginative writing activities and lessons. Young writers leave each workshop with a piece to be proud of, as well as a newfound understanding of the topic and new friends.
