We’re excited to introduce you to our July Author of the Month, Anna P.!
What is your favorite thing you’ve written recently? Tell us a bit about it!
My favorite thing that I wrote recently is my story “Bunny Hunting Bunny Saving.” It tells about a girl who learns that you always need to do the right thing. She learns it by saving bunnies who have been kidnapped to test new things on them. She breaks the rules and saves 100 lives. For her it’s hard breaking she never did this before. She was really questioning everything she was doing and trying her best to save them. She already had experience with animals; she owns a pet bunny herself. She is the most kind girl even though her parents are really strict. She always looks on the bright side and tries to find a solution. She is kind of bossy but she will always hear you out. She will never leave you behind. When I wrote this story I thought about how fast someone can change. This story is about teaching you a lesson for the future!
What are three words you would use to describe 826NYC?
Fun, interesting, enjoyable.
If someone was considering joining 826NYC, what would you tell them?
If someone was considering joining 826NYC I would tell them how it’s usually at 826NYC. It’s fun and interesting. You can make a lot of friends and get past your differences! When you first come you will probably feel shy at first but in a couple of days you will make a lot of friends.
What advice would you give someone writing for the first time?
If I would give them any advice it would be to not doubt yourself and try your best! Try to do new things like sharing your story with the class because later if you decide to share it at the book party. Always be proud of your work and take credit for it! Be kind to your friends and the volunteers!
