Throughout all of our programs, volunteers work with students to craft original stories, poems, essays, songs, plays, and more. You can get to know some of these budding young authors and read original pieces here.
Because we believe that the quality of students’ work is greatly enhanced when they are given a chance to share it with an authentic audience, we are committed to publishing student work. You can purchase and enjoy many of our student anthologies and titles here.
Each July, students gather at 826NYC for two weeks of screenwriting, filmmaking, and podcasting. With the help of volunteers, students write scripts, build sets, design costumes, conduct interviews, star in original short films, and record podcasts. The films and podcasts are then screened at DCTV for families and friends.
