Overview
Dungeons & Dragons, the epic fantasy role-playing game where players craft characters to take on magical quests that can change with the roll of the dice, comes to 826NYC! Adventurous authors in grades 5–9 play out an entirely original tale week by week, and chronicle their fantastical deeds in character point-of-view journals, histories, and scene writing. And, of course, sometimes the greatest gift is the friends we make — and make up — along the way.
This year, two classes will play out campaigns that sometimes intersect: a class of grades 5-8 will meet on Sundays from 12-2:30, and a class of grades 6-9 will meet on Sundays from 3-5:30. This will be a Dungeons & Dragons-inspired science fiction campaign set in outer space. Throughout their quest, players will travel through the game’s galaxy, populated by a variety of worlds of their own creation – and their choices will influence the movements of the other class’s campaign, too.
