Uh oh…did I do thaaaaat? In the world of sitcoms, our favorite characters get into – and hopefully, out of! – all kinds of dilemmas, all in 30 minutes or less. Over the course of five weekend workshops, young writers in grades 1-5 will learn all about sitcom structure, from creating a cast of characters to peppy punchlines.  We’ll get into common sitcom problems, and how our heroes resolve them.

About Write Away Workshops

We know that young authors have the power and imagination to go beyond the five-paragraph essay. In Write Away Workshops, students explore a multitude of genres and subjects, and develop their voices as writers. Groups write freely and participate in imaginative writing activities and lessons.
