We’re excited to introduce you to our September Author of the Month, Tahra A.!
What is your favorite thing you’ve written recently? Tell us a bit about it!
I have written a book recently based on animal-inspired literature. It was really fun to write it, and it’s about an adventure with a fox, a squirrel, and an otter standing up against someone who seems like a bully. It has a twist ending. I am working on editing and will, hopefully, publish it soon!
What are three words you would use to describe 826NYC?
Fun, insightful, and wonderful!
If someone was considering joining 826NYC, what would you tell them?
My friend is actually considering joining 826, and I would say that it’s fun, the teachers and students are really nice and accommodating, and the classes are very helpful for writing and done in a new perspective.
What advice would you give someone writing for the first time?
Start with the part that seems easiest or most important to you! Whether that be the character, plot, title, etc, and go from there.
