On April 20, 2023 826NYC’s staff, board, and community of supporters gathered for our fourth annual Write the Future Celebration. We celebrated 826NYC’s young authors alongside our honorees Andrea Davis Pinkney and Mahogany L. Browne. Teen Writers’ Collective members Aleyah Elder and Jordan Mayers introduced Andrea and Mahogany respectively as well as read their own work.

We are deeply grateful to Aleyah and Jordan for sharing their words with our community and for making the night so special. It was also a treat to have Keith Nelson of the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus join us as host and entertainer extraordinaire.
