What is your favorite thing you’ve written recently? Tell us a bit about it!

My favorite thing I’ve written is “Narcolepsy Nightmare”. I read it at [the Teen Writers’ Collective] graduation last year. I feel like it’s my best piece so far and I’m turning it into a manga. 

What are three words you would use to describe 826NYC? How would you describe 826NYC?

Welcoming. Creative. Fun.

If someone was considering joining 826NYC, what would you tell them?

I would tell them that you’re gonna enjoy it! You get to be your best self there, and you get to express who you are in your writing.

What advice would you give someone writing for the first time?

Take your time. Think rationally about what you’re going to write and everything, because you don’t want to rush your story. Even if no one likes it, even if you take your time, you’ll find your audience.

How do you hope writing will continue to be a part of your life after graduating? 

I am definitely going to be writing a lot of stories and selling them! I want to sell my manga (or at least getting it finished) before I graduate!
