We’re excited to introduce you to our November Author of the Month, Tenesaca!
What is your favorite thing you’ve written recently? Tell us a bit about it!
I’ve started a new story that is taken from an old WIP and used for a new plot in the same world and mostly the same characters. Of course tweaks have been made from the original world but it stays pretty true to the original vision I had for a magical world where so much was possible if you put in the effort to make it work. (5th grade me would be so proud) (I started that original story during quarantine as a pastime, wow)
What are three words you would use to describe 826NYC?
Inclusive, moderately quiet?
If someone was considering joining 826NYC, what would you tell them?
If it’s something you want to try out for the reason you have, go for it. It never hurts to try something new but it hurts to miss something. Also if the description for 826 sounds appealing, be it the kind of people you’ll meet or the work you’ll do, you’re probably most likely a good fit.
What advice would you give someone writing for the first time?
If you have an idea but don’t know where to start, write your idea. Write down what you know you want to add and if nothing pops into your head, use the things around you. Look at the small and big things around you and think about how can it fit into your story. How can it affect or make your setting? Affect your characters and will they interact with said thing? Writing can take you anywhere with enough thinking and remember that your story is yours to transform.
