We’re excited to introduce you to our November Author of the Month, Nicholas K.!
What is your favorite thing you’ve written recently? Tell us a bit about it!
I recently wrote a goofy one-shot about a hero who is very mean. It’s called, “Goof O’Clock.” I found it fun to flip the stereotype of a hero on its head. I also liked writing about a maniacal villain breaking down and sobbing over his false hairline and toupee.
What are three words you would use to describe 826NYC?
Fun, relaxing, and profound.
If someone was considering joining 826NYC, what would you tell them?
A writing club might seem boring, but it really is much more than that. When I first came, I thought I would just be writing essays, but it wasn’t that at all. It’s a ton of fun to do!
What advice would you give someone writing for the first time?
Let your stream of consciousness go through. And don’t be too serious!
