We’re excited to introduce you to our August Author of the Month, Armany G.!
What is your favorite thing you’ve written recently? Tell us a bit about it!
“The Chameleon Coney Island” (written in collaboration with Lucas D. and Thomas Z.): Three chameleons are having fun in Coney Island, going on the Ferris Wheel and bumper cars. They were camouflaging in the corners of Coney Island but got lost. Each of them smelled cheesy pizza, and it brought them together.
What are three words you would use to describe 826NYC?
Creative, artistic, scientific.
If someone was considering joining 826NYC, what would you tell them?
The weeks of 826 are going to be different. The comics, theater, science fiction are really fun. And you get to act out your story. You even get to write and use pictures for comics. There’s lots of funny stuff like games, snacks, writing, and drawing.
What advice would you give someone writing for the first time?
Be confident in your writing. Don’t give up!
