We’re excited to introduce you to our April Author of the Month, Maeve L.!
What is your favorite thing you’ve written recently? Tell us a bit about it!
My poem, “I Am Me.” I really like it because Ms. Amani told me it made her day better. I think she was having a bad day and when she read it it made her day better, and I thought that was really nice.
What are three words you would use to describe 826NYC?
Comfortable, exciting, chill.
If someone was considering joining 826NYC, what would you tell them?
I would tell them to join. I’d say it’s really easy to make friends. And it gives you opportunities you don’t have at school sometimes.
What advice would you give someone writing for the first time?
Just let the words come out.
