I am from a place of sharing and cooking
I am from many spices put in dishes
Where those same dishes fill peoples’ hungry bellies
I am from a place that smells like fabric saris
I am from a place where bangles jingle like a door bell
I am from a place where Bangla is spoken
I am from a place where Muslims pray
I am from a place with many villages
I am from a place that has milky sweets
I am from a place that smells like fresh hennah
I am from a place where people are kind
I am from a place that has hard and soft fruits
I am from a place with different kinds of tea
I am from a place I love
I am from Bangladesh!
