It’s that time of year again! On Sunday, December 7th at 7pm, Quizmaster Hodgman will be hosting Trivia Night for Cheaters at The Bell House – reading 25 questions to 25 teams of five. The team that answers the most questions correctly – whether by knowledge proud and true or by cheat – wins the tournament.

Registration

The registration fee to enter the tournament is $25 per player (active volunteers will have their registration fees waived). Register here! Then create an awesome team logo! However, to gain the advantage over other players, you need to raise money that will permit you to pass on questions you don’t know the answer to. (See below.)

Raise money to gain the advantage!

To gain the advantage over other players, you need to raise money that will permit you to buy cheats on questions you don’t know the answer to. Each team is required to raise a minimum of $1,000 (though we would love it if you could kick that minimum’s ass, cuz it’s for the kids) to play in the tournament. We’ll help with the asking—templates, links, etc.

Be creative. Make a YouTube page. A Twitter account. Make a story for your team and tell the world why you deserve to cheat. We’ll help you spread the word (we don’t play favorites).

All money earned (outside of registration fees) is 100% tax-deductible to the donor and goes directly to support 826NYC’s writing and literacy programs, benefiting students throughout NYC.

The Prizes

There will be two top place prizes awarded: one for The Cheaters (the team that scores the most points) and another for The Brains (the team that answers the most questions correctly sans cheats). There will also be Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D posters signed by Joss Whedon and Brooklyn Superhero Supply Co. totes for second and third place teams!
