The World Revolves Around
Sara S. ----- 6th Grade
I am the only girl they have eyes for
I wonder how do you find the love of your life?
I hear the crying out of me
I see the world revolving around
I want to go back to my childhood memories
I am the only girl they have eyes for.
I pretend not to see how they act
I feel blind
I touch her soft face
I worry about us
I cry over fake friends
I am wondering, “Are we okay?”
I understand how she feels
I say why?
I dream about the sunset on the beach
I try to be great for everyone
I hope I can see the morning daylight
I am the only one they have eyes for.

Something Lost but Never Found
Once there was an electric eel. He was living inside an old man’s head. He was giving electricity to the man’s brain to keep him alive. The old man opened up his head and put the eel in a fish tank. He was still alive. One day, someone took the eel out of the fish tank, so the old man lost his eel. The old man said, “Oh no! The eel is lost now. Oh great, my eel is gone.”
