Liz Bruenig is a journalist working as an opinion columnist for the New York Times, where she writes on religion, politics, ethics, and motherhood. She previously wrote for the Washington Post, where she was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing in 2019. She and her husband Matt co-host the podcast The Bruenigs, where they talk about the news, the internet, and their lives.
