Scrabble for Cheaters is a fundraising event where money is raised through buying “cheats.” Prior to the game, teams of two will raise money from their friends and family to buy cheats like “Invent a Word,” “Buy a Vowel,” or “Reject a word,” to use during gameplay. Each cheat will help the teams gain an advantage over the others and advance in the tournament to eventually win the Cheater’s Cup and tickets to Sleep No More, a Celebrate Brooklyn! benefit show, or the Five Boro Craft Beer Fest.

Follow these simple steps to play:

1. Find a partner as ruthless and magnanimous as you OR sign up for our Scrabble Matchmaker and let us help you find a teammate.

2. Register your team to play!

3. Start raising those funds and visit the Cheat Menu so you know what it’s going to take to bring home tickets to Sleep No More or the 5 Boro Craft Beer Fest.

There will be beer courtesy of the Brooklyn Brewery, custard from Shake Shack, and other snacks. There might even be a special guest. Exciting developments will be announced on our facebook page.
