Into the Unknown: Adventure Stories

Hercules, Dory, Mirabel, Shrek. What could a mythic hero, a forgetful fish, a shockingly un-magical main character, and an ogre possibly have in common? More than you might think! They all go on perilous (and sometimes fun!) adventures to figure out who they are, and save the day. Venture into the unknown with 826NYC and learn about what makes the hero’s journey so captivating. Then, bring your own unique and daring main character to life and give them something worth fighting for in a brand-new epic for the ages.

About Write Away Workshops

We know that young authors have the power and imagination to go beyond the five-paragraph essay. In Write Away Workshops, students explore a multitude of genres and subjects, and develop their voices as writers. Groups write freely and participate in imaginative writing activities and lessons. Young writers leave each workshop with a piece to be proud of, as well as a newfound understanding of the topic and new friends.
