Why do you work for 826NYC? I love working for 826NYC because this is the perfect environment for aspiring young writers. I am captivated by the creative works of 826NYC’s students and I haven’t even met them yet! I see my summer here as the perfect opportunity to continue cultivating my love of creative writing and creative education. I plan to utilize my time here to allow me to think deeper about my future in the creative field.
If you could have witnessed any event in history, what would it be? When Kwame Nkrumah became the first president of a free democratic Ghana.
What is your karaoke song of choice? “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler
One thing you believed as a child that you wish you still believed? Childhood Belief: That Santa Claus really was eating my homemade cookie all these years…

Why do you work for 826NYC? I like working for 826NYC because it allows me to surround myself with other people who share my passion for writing and creativity.
If you could have witnessed any event in history, what would it be? The drafting of the Declaration of Independence.
What is your karaoke song of choice? I am tone deaf but if I could sing, my go-to would be “Listen” by Beyonce.
One thing you believed as a child that you wish you still believed? I wholeheartedly believed that I was going to be the future President of the United States.

Why do you work for 826NYC? I love how 826NYC’s approach to helping the community is so innovative in exploring new partnerships with companies and finding creative ways to connect with students and schools, all while staying devoted to the students and their needs.
